Avengers Endgame ad placement.


Image result for avenger end gameI first want to say I will not being spoiling any part of this movie and believe everyone should go see this amazing movie. Throughout this movie there was tons of ad placement from the cars to the different types of technology. They used different cars to show what was going to happen in the scene. This made me as someone watching to say wow if Iron man drives that cars it must be really fancy or nice. Or to see a normal citizen using a certain kind of phone to make me think of myself as the norm. This use of ads hidden inside the movie so that you don’t even realize it's there but that you will always remember the product used. From this use of many commercials in this movie as well as how the movie theater found ways to sell many thing from inside the movie. From how each drink cup and tub of popcorn was advertised with this new movie and the different characters. Also, how they made an entire gift shop towards this movie so that you will buy little action figures and more. The use of ads within movies and just the theatre is a way of hiding ads in everyday media.

When i think about advertisement that tries and persuade me to pick there item over competitors is places like Samsung. Apple has taken over as the big phone market so Samsung is playing catchup. Every commercial for a new product they try and roast on apple for a certain feature or show that theirs is better. Apple is engrained as the main smartphone and might always be on top. These companies always have to show commercials show why they are better while apple just shows what they have. Other companies that do this same thing is phone services like version, t-mobile, and sprint most people have ATAT and is sort of the king of phone service. While these other service try and bring down the bigger companies to make theres make sense. These smaller ones have to make the most ads just so that they can catch up to the bigger guys. In Critical thinking we have been learning about many common advertising techniques and how ad companies try and get your attention. We learned over 18 different techniques that ad companies use like weasel words, patriotism, and plain folks appeal. All these techniques are used to grab your attention and persuade you to think about their item and or to buy their item. One ad that grabbed my attention this week was the Geico commercial where the gecko imagines what he would do if he had the power of the infinity gauntlet. What he would do is make it so each person could save as much money as possible on insurance. With Avengers Endgame being the big hit of the month this advertisement intrigues many people while also tell you what the company is all about.
