Persuaders

When i think about advertisement that tries and persuade me to pick there item over competitors is places like Samsung. Apple has taken over as the big phone market so Samsung is playing catchup. Every commercial for a new product they try and roast on apple for a certain feature or show that theirs is better. Apple is engrained as the main smartphone and might always be on top. These companies always have to show commercials show why they are better while apple just shows what they have.

Other companies that do this same thing is phone services like version, t-mobile, and sprint most people have ATAT and is sort of the king of phone service. While these other service try and bring down the bigger companies to make theres make sense. These smaller ones have to make the most ads just so that they can catch up to the bigger guys.

I think its really interesting to see what companies our ingrain in us as the big companies for each item and how the others always try and show why theres is better while putting the big one down. They try and persuade us through commercials and different slogans they make.

  1. I really liked the approach you took to from your argument and blog. I strongly agree with the fact that you said certain brands have to compete with other brands in order to stay relevant. Something that I feel that you could have added to your blog to make your argument sound stronger is some evidence as to how these other brands are having to compete in the market. Like for instance you could have used the Google phone to show that brands other than Apple such as this one are keeping in the competition by giving their consumers unlimited storage.

  2. I liked how you mentioned the rivalry between apple and samsung and how samsung always attempts to bash apple products yet apple holds back their words, it sorta makes you wonder if apple and samsung have a mutual agreement on what they can say about one another.
